ACER unveiled their new range of laptops and desktops via a livestream from Taipei last night, announcing more than a dozen new products across their range.
Of the new announcements – including laptops, desktops and monitors – only three have confirmed Australian release dates and/or prices and are subsequently the focus here.
First up is the Predator Triton 300 notebook, being pitched for gamers and content creators alike.
The newly announced version features a 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processor, up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, and a 15.6in 240 Hz display refresh rate with a 3ms response time and 100 percent sRGB colour space support.
The chassis itself is metal and measures 19.9mm thin, with the unit weighing 2.1kg. It will also supports up to three M.2 SSDs (one PCIe, two combos), and three heat pipes have been added to the device’s advanced thermal design, which also includes a dual-fan cooling system.
While Australian pricing is still to be confirmed, Acer have confirmed the Triton 300 will be available from Harvey Norman stores from next month.
For the serious desktop gamer who wants something to fit pretty much anywhere, Acer announced the Predator Orion 3000 tower, featuring a 10th generation Intel i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, up to 64GB RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.
The tower also has DTS:X audio and PredatorSense software; Acer have said the Orion 3000 will be available in Australia in September starting from AUD $2,499.
Keeping with the desktop range, Acer also announced the Nitro 50 tower, featuring a 10th Gen Intel i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super graphics card, up to 64GB RAM and up to a 1TB SSD as well as a Qi wireless charging pad.
According to Acer, the Nitro 50 will be available in Australia in September starting from AUD $1,599.
There’s quite a lot of neat stuff in the showcase, including some really impressive gaming kit, so I’m looking forward to getting release dates and Australian price confirmations in due course.
