I’m a big esports fan. Just one look at my author page will show you the stories I’ve written about the World Of Tanks ANZPL and ANZBL, along with co-hosting Nuts & Bolts, Game On Aus’ esports show. So when I got an email this morning about the Alienware Arena Series launching tonight, it had my curiosity.
Alienware Arena Series Featuring Fortnite
The Alienware Arena Series has been launched by Alienware in partnership with EssenceMediacom and Livewire. It features top tier gaming and entertainment talent and invites gamers to enter a draw to win a place on one of 20 teams competing in the event.
The lucky winners have the chance to play Fortnite alongside personalities like Rob Whittaker (UFC), Mitch Robinson (AFL), Andrew Fifita (NRL) and Team PWR members Lachlan, Chanzes and Jynx. Other competitors include Tyson Pedro (UFC), Aaron Woods (NRL), Day1 (musician), YNG Martyr (musician) and Jordan Raskopoulos (comedian).
An Exciting Opportunity
Adam Lee, Alienware General Manager ANZ, said that it’s an opportunity to bring together their community in an interactive experience. “With more than 350 million players registered worldwide, there’s no doubt that gamers love playing Fortnite, and Alienware is excited to bring enthusiasts together along with streamers and other personalities for a great night of entertainment.”
Having been to Fortress Melbourne’s Alienware Arena I can personally attest to the company’s competitive gaming ambitions. It makes me excited to see the Alienware Arena Series. The tournament starts tonight, Friday 21st October at 7pm AEDT over on the Alienware Twitch page.
