It’s awards season for the gaming industry, and the 2018 Game Awards nominees have been revealed!

No surprises for most of the nominees in the category for Game of the year with all of the titles you would expect to get a nom, getting one – though it was great to see one not so recognised game in Celeste, a stunning 2D platformers by Matt Makes Games making the cut.

God of War (Santa Monica Studios) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar Games) lead the pack with 8 nominations each including Game of the year!

Voting is open now through until December 5, and in an industry first, gamers will be able to join the official Game Awards Discord Server to help select winners, as well as voting online at TheGameAwards.com.
