As excitement builds around ANZPL Season 4, the World Of Tanks ANZBL Season 3 draft jumps into action. A second division to the ANZPL, the ANZBL features players from across the ANZ region. It gives players valuable experience in the 5v5 game mode. Players that have registered and gone through the qualifiers will be eligible for selection in the ANZBL.
ANZBL Format
Four teams return for ANZBL Season 3 with hopes of enough interest for two additonal teams. That brings the ANZBL to six teams and with plans for relegation and promotion between the ANZPL and ANZBL already underway, World Of Tanks is growing their competitive scene. New Zealand will be guaranteed a team to help grow the esport there.
Following the same rules as the ANZPL, teams must have at least three of their seven player roster from the area they are named after. The other four can come from any area in the ANZ region. Matches can only feature Tech Tree and Collector vehicles with wheeled and reward vehicles prohibited. Teams can also only take two of the same model of tank into battles.
Since its inception the ANZBL has been providing quality players for the ANZPL. It gives players the chance to ease themselves into World Of Tanks esports rather than competing for one of the limited spots in the top teams.
The Draft
Players were able to register their interest in playing for the ANZBL until the end of February with qualifiers in the beginning of March. The Season 3 Draft happening live on Twitch at http://twitch.tv/worldoftanksanz Thursday 17th March.
The prospect of promotion and relegation will take the excitement for this league to new highs. Suddenly there is a much greater reward for winning the ANZBL and risks for in the ANZPL teams.
