Last week, we photoshopped up a little pic that looks like it touched a nerve with thousands of people.
With all the hype and excitement around the Nintendo “minis”, we got to thinking.
What if we could make a Commodore 64 mini?
So, thanks to our FB friends, we asked for the must have games and came up with this.
On the keyboard, you’ll see the games that we (and our FB friends) insisted on belonging on the mini 64.
Now that we’ve done some more research, there’s a few games we’ve missed:
- Stunt Car Racer
- Raid Over Moscow
- To name but a few…
But, you can’t please everyone all of the time.
The deal with this mini64 is that every key launches that particular game.
Although, if you notice, there are a few random keys that may or may not make sense.
- The letters L O A D
- The numbers 8 1
- And the symbols “*,
That’s how you used to load a game back in the day. You’d place a 5 1/4 inch disk into the disk drive, close the latch and type this magic string of text.
After the dreaded loading time, BOOM, you were in.
Maybe, on the mini64, if punters did this you get one of the bonus games mentioned above? At random?
That, or we get rid of the two cursor keys and the c64 key… I don’t quite remember what that key did anyway?
Pete and I are in serious discussions about starting a Kickstarter to get this happening. What do you reckon, would you buy one?
