OK readers, I have a secret to tell. And I might lose some of your respect after I tell you. Here it is… …I haven’t played Until Dawn or any of The Dark Pictures games. There, I said it. And it’s pretty cool that we’re in an age where video games have said, “Why can’t we have both?” The Quarry is the latest combination of this genius pair of mediums by Supermassive Games. It’s…

Before we begin, I’d like to point out that I’m in no way, shape or form a veteran player of Hearthstone. Even though I’ve been playing on/off for the last 7 years. Normally, I’d play for a couple of days at a time before putting it back down. Mainly because I was terrible at it and never allowed myself to fully learn. And the only reason I’ve played in recent years was because of Hearthstone’s auto-battler mode, Battlegrounds. Something I’ve spent a lot of hours on, progressively mastering my strategy and technique. Which in turn has sparked my interest once again…

It’s hard to keep track of games I’ve played throughout the years. Here at Game On AUS, we do both a mid-year and end of year GOTY article. And whenever I’m asked “What game has been your favourite?” I’m usually left stumped. There are dozens of games I play annually for both pleasure and review. But there are always a few that stand out for one reason or another. My memories of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, for example, have stuck with me ever since my review back in October, 2020. I believe I described it as “the best story-driven game…
