Gamers, get ready for the next major content update coming to World of Warcraft Dragonflight – Embers of Neltharion. This update, launching on May 3 AEST, will bring a plethora of exciting new features to the game, including a brand new zone, cross-faction guilds, a new renown track, and dragonriding updates.
One of the most highly anticipated additions is the new zone called Zaralek Cavern. This mysterious underground cavern is full of new quests, denizens to befriend, exploration opportunities, and public objectives. As players delve deeper into the cavern, they will uncover the secrets hidden within its depths.
Guilds will also receive a major update with the ability to invite players of the opposite faction. This includes access to guild chat, bank access, and calendars. This will make it easier for players to find and play with friends across factions, fostering a more inclusive and collaborative gaming community.
The new renown track, Loamm Niffen, offers players new reputation rewards and activities to unlock as they progress through it. This will provide additional challenges and incentives for players to continue exploring the new content.
Dragon enthusiasts will be thrilled to hear that dragonriding updates are also coming in Embers of Neltharion. Players will have access to new racing courses, glyphs, abilities, and a new drake called the Winding Slitherdrake. These updates will enhance the overall experience of riding dragons in-game, making it more fun and rewarding for players.
In addition to these exciting updates, players can also look forward to class tuning and balancing, HUD/UI updates, as well as loads of new gear, mounts, and pets to earn.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Dragonflight Season 2 will launch shortly after Embers of Neltharion on May 10 AEST. This new season brings a new raid called Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. The fallen Earth-warder Neltharion, infamously known as Deathwing, kept a secret laboratory deep underground below the Dragon Isles. Both the newly freed Incarnates and a rebel band of Dracthyr led by Scalecommander Sarkareth pose a threat as they fight to gain access to the lab and control over Neltharion’s long-hidden secrets. Players will face nine bosses as they work to thwart the Incarnates and Scalecommander, who both seek to claim the legacy of the Dracthyr.
Like Season 1, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties will release simultaneously. The remaining Dragonflight dungeons will also be added to the Mythic+ rotation, along with four dungeons returning from past expansions. Major changes to the Mythic+ system include the removal of a seasonal affix and a revamp of the base affixes. With all of these new additions, Embers of Neltharion and Dragonflight Season 2 promise to bring a fresh and exciting gameplay experience to World of Warcraft. Gamers, get ready to embark on new adventures, meet new challenges, and make new friends along the way. The countdown to May 10 has officially begun!
