SEPTEMBER 13 marks two mayhem-filled years since Borderlands 3 launched worldwide, however Gearbox and 2K want us to start celebrating early. During the games first two years, a plethora of content has been added to Borderlands 3 and its 2nd birthday is no exception. A giant birthday celebration has already started in-game and will continue over the next five weeks.
Leading into its officially anniversary week, Borderlands 3 will hold a number of mini-events throughout its solar system. The events have been dubbed “Loot the Universe” where a specific planet will have increased chances of dropping specific types of Legendary items for a whole week. The party has started over on Pandora for week one and will finish up the event on Nekrotafeyo on September 10.
As for Borderlands 3’s anniversary week, two mini-events will be taking place to conclude the birthday celebrations. “Mayhem Made Mild” and “Show Me The Eridium” will be kicking off from September 9 and finish a week later. It’ll be the week to increase mayhem levels as “Mayhem Made Mild” will only offer Easy modifiers. While “Show Me The Eridium” will offer bigger Eridium drops and discounted items purchased with it.
