MAYHEM has been cranked up to a whole new level as Borderlands 3’s endgame content gets a total revamp. Mayhem 2.0 brings Mayhem levels up to 10 which is an additional 6 levels of reward filled mayhem. Along with higher drop rates and new legendary weapons (from Mayhem 6 onward) Mayhem 2.0 has over 25 new modifiers. Modifiers are now categorized as Easy, Medium, Hard and Very Hard and are placed across each of the 10 Mayhem levels. Modifiers have played a large part in the revamp as quitting and entering new areas no longer change mods. However you can now re-roll modifiers as you please. Changing Mayhem levels has also been made easier as you no longer have to return to Sanctuary to do so. You can now adjust the Mayhem via your ECHO device.
Today is also the launch of Borderlands 3’s new seasonal event Revenge of the Cartels. Our scaly friend Maurice has somehow become indebted to the Eridium Cartels Kingpin, Joey Ultraviolet, and it’s up to you to save his arse. Like the previous seasonal event, you kill event specific enemies across the galaxy to unlock entry into the limited-time event. These are recognizable by their neon-glow. Once you arrive at their tropical hideout you face-off against one of three gangs of hordes which each have a different underboss and legendary loot pool, making the grind a lot more worthy. There’s also 18 new challenges to complete which unlock limited-time cosmetic rewards.
Don’t forget the Co-Op Loot Drop event is still running until April 30 which offers a lot more loot just for playing with friends.
