EVERY green, tree, rough and object you see on the 15 in-game licenced TPC courses in PGA TOUR 2K21 can also be found in real life. This is thanks to some very talented 3D artists and the latest in cinematography technology. In a new trailer, Karl Engstrom and Tony Dimaria from Terra Imaging show us how they shoot every single inch of each TPC course. Over the course of several months, that footage of each hole shot in stunning 4K/6K become the virtual courses created by 3D artists at HB Studios.
“Our goal is to make the PGA TOUR 2K21 in-game TPC course recreations as detailed as possible, so it feels like you’re actually playing the course alongside top PGA TOUR pros,” said Shaun West, senior producer at HB Studios. “To see professionals play these courses on TV, and then watch each come to life as playable courses within the game, is an incredibly cool process to see. We’re excited for our fans to be able to experience it as well.”
