PACK #3 for the Civilization VI’s New Frontier Pass drops tomorrow featuring a new game mode, two new World Wonders and two new Civilizations/Leaders. Little was known about each when we first reported on the 3rd bimonthly DLC pack however we now have First Look trailers both both.
Byzantium and their leader, Basil II, focus mainly on Combat and Religious strengths. Heavy and Light Cavalry Units deliver full damage to enemies of the same religion and will also spread their religion whenever defeating enemy units. Holy Sites also deliver bonus Great Prophet points. Discovering the Devine Right civic will also grant you the Tagma unique unit, granting nearby land units higher combat and religious strength. While Byzantium is all about religion and combat, Gaul focuses mainly on Culture. Mines will grant this civilization adjacency bonuses, Culture Bomb unknown territory and grant additional Culture. Their leader, Ambiorix, gives Melee, anti-cavalry and ranged units bonus Combat Strength for every adjacent combat unit. Byzantium is also granted the more expensive Gaesatae unique unit instead of the Warrior. However the Gaesatae gains more Combat Strength against stronger units and defenses.
