Instead of paying the regular price of USD$5.99 (AUD$8.25), Chaosium are instead asking people to make a donation to one of the humanitarian organisations supporting the people of Ukraine caught up in the war there.
“If you download it, instead of paying us, we encourage you to make a donation to organisations supporting people seeking safety from the conflict in Ukraine”, Chaosium vice president Michael O’Brien said.
Does Love Forgive? comprises two Call of Cthulhu scenarios intended for one Keeper (Game Master) and one player, designed to fill an evening or two (as opposed to being long campaigns).
The scenario was originally published in Polish by Chaosium licensee Black Monk Games, who publish the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG in Poland.
As a neighbour to Ukraine, Poland is welcoming an influx of refugees — it is reported over 327,000 people have sought refuge so far – Black Monk is running their own charitable support efforts, and have links where donations can be made directly to Polish aid organisations.
Chaosium have provided a few suggested places for donations in lieu of the purchase price of Does Love Forgive?
- International Committee of the Red Cross – Ukraine Crisis
- UNHCR United Nations Refugee Committee – Ukraine Emergency
- Save the Children – Ukraine Crisis
- Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres – Ukraine
“As our friends at Black Monk have stated, ‘We can’t do much alone, but together we have the strength that matters’,” Mr O’Brien said.
