    Everything revealed at Ubisoft Forward

    It’s 5am

I have some freshly brewed coffee in my hand and I’m ready for some brand new footage and announcements from Ubisoft. After a whirlwind 24 hours for the company, it is time to finally see some gameplay footage from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, find out what is happening with Watch Dogs Legion and this week’s worst kept secret, Far Cry 6.

Just Dance 2020 announced a new gameplay mode called Gala, giving gamers access to 6 new songs in a Virtual Gala with challengers and online play. Watch the announcement below (did you know this is a new release on the Wii too?)

Watch Dogs has become an endearing franchise after a rocky start, the series really lit up with the sequel and it looks to propel it forward even more with the release of Legion. Ubi confirmed that the game is coming alot sooner than we thought, October 29, 2020. The game is coming from Ubisoft Toronto and will be a launch title for the next gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X. During the reveal there was no discussion on next gen upgrades if you purchase the PS4 or Xbox One version, we are happy to confirm that Ubisoft confirmed directly after you can upgrade to the latest version for free when you upgrade your console. Watch the breaktaking footage below.

HyperScape is a brand new franchise coming from Ubisoft and if you own a PC you can start playing the beta today! The game is a free-to-play urban battle royale first person shooter from the team at Ubisoft Montreal. The game is set in 2054 where up to 100 contestants come to the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to get into action packed matches battling for champion.

The open beta will feature Crown Rush Solo, a 100 player free-for-all version of its main battle royale mode, also available is the 3 player Crown Rush Squad. There are also two new limited time modes : Hack Runner Squad and Turbo Mode Squad.

If you are playing and streaming on Twitch, there is a Crowncast Twitch extension which will allow you to invite viewers directly into your game from the Twitch chat.

The Open Beta is available now on PC here and the game will launch with its first season on PS4, Xbox One and PC later on in the year. You can watch the video below

Assassins Creed Valhalla is the game that alot of us were hoping to see more of. Since the announcement we haven’t seen much actual gameplay so it is exciting to confirm that we did see a lot of actual gameplay this time around and the premise of the game. Starting out in Norway, you travel as a viking to England to conquer after your homeland becomes uninhabitable. The showcase had some incredible graphics and the choise of playing the whole game as either a male or female assassin is a massive step forward for the series.

The game will release on November 17, 2020 on Xbox One, PS4, PC and feature on Uplay + and Stadia. The game will be available as a next gen upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series X upon launch at no additional cost.

You can watch the jaw dropping footage below

Brawlhalla is Ubi’s free to play fighting game that has garnered a huge cult following and continues to impress with its huge roster of fighters and intuitive gameplay. You can now take the game on the go with the announcement this morning that the game is headed to IOS and Android devices.

The game will be cross play so you can play with anyone across all devices and looks to be a smooth experience on your mobile device. Watch the details below.

This week the internet leaked Far Cry 6 with a poster and confirmation that actor Giancarlo Esposito would be playing the lead. The game is currently in development and is set in the island of Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. “Powerful and complex antagonists are part of Far Cry’s DNA, so right from the beginning we knew we had to raise the bar for who these characters could be and how they would come to life,” said Navid Khavari, Narrative Director, Ubisoft Toronto. “Working with such an amazing roster of talent, including the one and only Giancarlo Esposito, and seeing how they embody our antagonists as terrifying but also deeply complex human characters has been an unbelievable experience that I can’t wait to share with our fans.”

The game will release on February 18,2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Stadia, PC via the Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store and on UPlay+.

There are two trailers, a cinematic trailer that comes to us from Patrick Clair (Westworld, True Detective) that introduces us to the world. You can watch this and the game footage below.

Ubisoft really brought the goods this year. There was no filler content, the near hour of announcements and footage will definitely keep gamers happy, and the very soon release dates ensure that the next gen console has a meaty line up for gamers to sink their teeth into. The video did also state that there is another Ubisoft Forward coming later on in the year, this could be the new way forward for the company without any awkward hosts or Just Dance live segments.

You can watch the full Ubisoft Forward video via the link below.
