In Famicom Detective Club you play the detective role in both games, solving two very different cases in each. The Missing Heir begins with a twist as our protagonist is found unconcious buy a character named Amachi. However, it’s others who remind you that you’re a detective who’s working on a case for the Ayashiro family. It’s a two-for-one mystery as both your life and the death in this wealthy family are shrouded in mystery.
The Girl Who Stands Behind has a darker tone after a student from Ushimitsu High School is found dead. The Plot thickens however as it happened while investigating a rumours of a bloody ghost at her school. Whether the rumours are true or it’s something more sinister is unknown. While it was the 2nd Famicom Detective Club title released, The Girl Who Stands Behind is actually a prequel to The Missing Heir.
