Far Cry 6 released in October last year and it’s first DLC, Vaas: Insanity, started us on the path of exploring a trilogy of villain-focused content. Vaas: Insanity explored the mind of Vaas Montenegro, portrayed by Michael Mando, who was the villain in Far Cry 3. Our reviewer, Royce Wilson said, “Vaas: Insanity is a surprisingly insightful and worthwhile addition to the Far Cry universe.” The second DLC, Pagan: Control, will be releasing on January 11 as part of the Far Cry 6 Season Pass and takes us into the troubled mind of Pagan Min from Far Cry 4.
This brand new experience will embody Pagan Min inspired by the roguelite genre, taking place in the depths of the villain’s troubled psyche. Like the Vaas: Insanity DLC, you start armed with just a pistol and must find new weapons and powers to progress in a new world inspired by Kyrat. The only way to play this DLC is via purchasing the Season Pass or owning editions of Far Cry 6 that include it. The Season Pass also includes Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition, which was released last month.
Looking ahead, in a couple of months the final DLC of the Season Pass will let us play as Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5. For now though, keep an eye out for our review of Pagan: Control next week.
