Gamescom has kicked off in Cologne, Germany and Xbox have stepped up to the plate with a slew of announcements.
Gears 5 confirmed a brand new horde mode. Every Horde character will have a unique Ultimate ability; and this also extends to cross-over characters like Sarah Connor from “Terminator Dark Fate,” and Kat and Emile from the newly announced Halo: Reach Character Pack (included in Gears 5 Ultimate Edition) There are also extra characters with Kat and Emile from Halo Reach in the ultimate edition. Gears 5 is now available for pre-purchase on Steam and Xbox One.
Remember that Gears Pop game announced at E3? Well it’s coming out on the 22nd of August! The game is free to play and available on Android, IOS and Windows 10. Cross-save is enabled so you can play across any device at any time and pick up the game. You can pre-register from your favourite store so you are all ready to go!
Age Of Empires II : Definitive Edition is coming to PC on November 14 this year. It is a 4K remaster and will include all expansions and content from the original release. If that wasn’t enough there will also be a brand new campaign included, so definitely worth checking out. The game will be included in the PC section of Xbox Game Pass and can also be purchased separately for $19.99.
XO19 is happening, this year Microsoft will take over the Copper Box Arena in London from November 14-16 with a special reveal event on the 14th promising new game announcements, news, world premieres and just maybe some more news on Project Scarlet. Tickets go on sale September 24 with all proceeds going to charity. You can get those details here
Two new controllers were revealed at the event with Night Ops Camo and Blue Sport Special Edition controllers coming October 8. You can pre-order them via the Microsoft store and selected retailers right now. There are also matching pro charging stands that will complete the look. You can view the pics below.
Season 4 of PUBG is kicking off August 27 and a slew of new content and upgrades are coming. The first big piece of news is the addition of cross play with Playstation. There will be a public test server launching in September with a full release planned in October. Seeing how reserved Playstation have been with cross-play, it is exciting to see that a game as big as PUBG will allow this feature. There will also be a huge graphical upgrade in the original map Erangel. Bases have received graphical upgrades as well as newly balanced weapons and vehicles. The new season will introduce a reward mode with Survivor Pass : Aftermath including over 100 rewards, co-op missions with special milestones unlocking even more rewards.
