Major esports organisation Gen.G has partnered with LG Electronics (LG). This information was shared at CES last week, along with LG featuring their UltraGear monitor range.
Gen.G is one of a handful of international esports organisations with competitive teams across multiple titles (like League of Legends, Overwatch, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds) and regions, including China, South Korea, and the United States. Forbes recognised Gen.G as the 6th most valuable company in esports.
Gen. G’s partnership with LG gives them access to top of the line 2021 UltraGear monitor technology. UltraGear monitors feature 4K resolution display, nano IPS display technology and Grey-To-Gray response time of 1ms.
Representatives from Gen.G and LG are both excited by their brands’ prospects building in partnership together.
Chris Park, CEO of Gen.G Esports shared, “With a young and dynamic brand such as LG UltraGear as our partner, we look forward to providing the ultimate gaming experience to not just professional players but to gaming fans across the globe.” He continued, “Based on our common objectives and values, I’m excited about the diverse possibilities this collaboration will deliver to our fans and customers.”
Senior Vice President and head of of the IT business unit at LG stated, “We’re proud to play a role in fueling the growth of the exciting world of esports and delivering the ultimate gaming experience through our exceptional gaming monitors.”
Gen.G is going from strength to strength, building their organisation into an international powerhouse. LG joins a host of premier partners supporting Gen.G, including Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s, PUMA, and Bumble, the women-first dating platform. LG and Gen.G make a logical partnership, and we will see how this partnership benefits both brands and the esports industry over the coming years.
