OVERNIGHT Nintendo showed lots of 2K love during their Nintendo Direct broadcast with a plethora of 2K series announcements. BioShock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection and Borderlands: Legendary Collection are all coming to Nintendo Switch on May 29.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing some of our biggest franchises to the Nintendo Switch platform,” said Melissa Bell, Senior Vice President & Head of Global Marketing at 2K. “These are some of our most successful games and franchises that have captivated millions of fans around the world, and now bringing them to Nintendo Switch means we add an element of mobility to these experiences while getting them in the hands of even more gamers.”
Each collection will be available as a digital download however Borderlands: Legendary Collection and BioShock: The Collection are the only two also available for physical release in Australia/New Zealand.
BioShock: The Collection will contain opening acts for BioShock Remastered, Bioshock 2 Remastered and BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition on it’s physical cartridge but will require additional game content to be downloaded. Borderlands: Legendary Collection however will contain Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition with an additional 6.6GB download with Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequelavailable as an additional download. Each Borderlands title on Switch can still be enjoyed with friends either through 2-player local co-op or with up to 4 players online. XCOM 2 Collection will be around 32GB all up featuring the base game, four DLC packs and the expansion War of the Chosen.
Each 2K collection is available to pre-order now for $89.95 in Australia and $99.95 for New Zealanders.
