There’s a little event coming up soon that you may have heard of. We’re super happy to share with you all the things you can expect from GOA @ PAX!
You’ve probably already planned what panels you’re attending and heard about keynote speaker Shuhei Yoshida. And you’ve lined up the outside PAX events and you’re including Fortress Melbourne’s massive offering. But we’ve got some things we think you should know about as well!
GOA @ PAX #1: How To Run A Charity Stream
GOA’s own Darren “Str8JaktJim” Macneall and Bianca “Stormie” James will be on a panel! Joining them are Jay Truman (Wargaming), Shane Bailey (Game On Cancer) and Julian Welgus-Dillon and Emma Delahunt (Movember).
Gamers are a very generous bunch. We love supporting each other, especially when worthy causes are involved. So many of us do charity events but if you haven’t done them before they can be daunting. Where do you start? How do you choose which charity to support? What do you even do for the event? Join us as we talk to fundraisers and charities about how to go about raising money to help those in need.
Join us on Friday 7th October from 10:30am in the Galah Theatre as we chat about this great subject!
GOA @ PAX #2: Community Meetup
Our community spans across Australia, New Zealand and further. We interact and game with each other despite the tyranny of distance. We’d really love to meet as many of you as possible. That’s why we’re hosting a GOA Community Meetup at PAX!
Come and say hello to your favourite GOA personalities and writers. Have a chat with long distance friends and maybe even win a prize! We’ll be in the Ibis Community Room from 4:30pm until 5:30pm on Saturday 8th October. We can’t wait to see your smiling faces.
Those are the events that we have planned for GOA @ PAX. Don’t forget to check out all the panels, game developers and activities PAX has to offer. And most importantly, have a great time!
