We’ve all been burnt by a day 1 release that was an unpolished piece of crap. Because it was released too early it bombed and disappointed. You’ll know it was a good game but released too early because the developers will slowly apply patches and bring out DLC, and then it’s an awesome game. Think No Man’s Sky.
For these reasons, I’m happy 10th Chambers Collective have delayed the game. I still really want to play it because it looks intense and freaking awesome. BUT! I want a good and polished game.

New release window for GTFO: Spring, 2019
Today, we want to inform our community that GTFO will get a new release window – Spring, 2019. Many of you have asked us on social media and in e-mails, and we have told you the end of 2018 – until now.
Why? We have worked very hard to get the game ready by the end of this year, although without any specific date in mind, but have concluded that we need more time.
We don’t want to release GTFO at a specific date just for the sake of it. We want to make sure GTFO lives up to your – and our own – expectations. And they’re high.
After having GTFO playable at both E3 and Gamescom this year, the game has raked up some promising awards; “Best Cooperative Game”, “Editor’s Choice Award”, as well as nominations for “Best of E3” and “Best in Show”.
We’ve even been so lucky to meet some of you, Ambassadors, at Gamescom and played it together with you. From what we could notice, you seemed to like what you experienced.
Having had the game playable at special occasions during the year, and always keeping track on our community’s feedback on gameplay trailers, we’ve gathered insights on how we can further make sure GTFO will be the 4-player cooperative action/horror FPS that hardcore gamers deserve.
Can’t wait to send you screaming down into the Complex, Spring of 2019. Until then, expect to see some exciting announcements!
Thank you for your continued support,
10 Chambers Collective
