BE prepared to be tempted by the dark arts with the latest trailer from Hogwarts Legacy premiering at the opening of Gamescom 2022. Despite being pushed back from 2022 to 2023, it seems the games charm has not been lost, with this trailer casting a spell over its fans worldwide.
The “wizarding world” is often painted with a kid safe brush, however we are now being shown the darker side to Hogwarts Legacy – and I am not complaining. It appears there are some quite dark choices to explore, with the trailer showing you can either reject the dark arts or embrace them by using them on one of your companions, Sebastian Sallow. Some say this may be a grim turn for the game, I am however more enthralled than ever! I am looking forward to more updates as we get closer to the games release.
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. For the first time, players can experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the Wizarding world apart. Now you can take control of the action and be at the centre of your own adventure in the Wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it, choose wisely.
Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment under its Portkey Games label, using the Unreal Engine. Hogwarts Legacy will release on February 10, 2023, for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
