Legacy Esports won the OCE League of Legends Splits in 2020 to advance to Worlds 2020. Yesterday Legacy played in the first day of Play-Ins, facing Brazilian team INTZ. Legacy won their match against INTZ securing their first win at Worlds 2020. Legacy Esports continue in the Play-Ins tonight against Team Liquid. The win against INTZ is the first match win Legacy Esports has won at Worlds since they last competed at Worlds in 2014.
Legacy player Topoon took the advantage in the top lane, creating a split lane pressure that ensured victory for Legacy. Babip was also in fine form using Nidelee in the jungle to pick up nine kills during the match.

The Play-Ins are a round-robin style of matches. For anyone not up to speed, LOLesports have a fantastic guide to play-ins (linked below).
Due to COVID-19, it has been challenging to organise viewing parties for the event. I enjoyed watching the events yesterday from the comfort of home with company on Discord. The Legacy Esports Discord, launched this week, is a great place to join the OCE community in chat channels. There are also Worlds Viewing Party voice chat rooms. You never know who might be there to chat about the games and cheer on Legacy. Tim Wendel, team manager for the Legacy Esports League of Legends team, popped in to the voice channel pass to pass on his thanks for supporting the team before their match up yesterday.
Legacy Esports is scheduled to play three more matches as part of their group. With Legacy Esports first win at Worlds 2020 secured, they have positive momentum heading into their match against Team Liquid tonight. You can catch the next Legacy match from 12 am AEST, on the 27th of September (midnight tonight!). The second day of Play-In matches for group A has already started. You can check out the live stream on YouTube or Twitch.
