Logitech G335 Wired Gaming Headset Review

I’ve long been a fan of Logitech when it comes to their gaming keyboards and mice, but up until recently, I’d never given one of their various gaming headsets a try. Thankfully that changed when I got my hands on the new Logitech G335 Wired Gaming Headset, a simple yet solid headset that exudes style with its sleek and colourful aesthetic.

Designed to serve as a wired alternative to their reputable Logitech G733 line of wireless gaming headsets, the G335 headset is the latest Logitech product to join their “Colour Collection” of snazzy and colourful peripherals.

Logitech G335 Wired Gaming Headset Review
The Logitech G335 is lightweight, comfortable and colourful

The Logitech G335 headset comes in three different flavours – black, white, and mint. My review unit was of the mint variety, sporting a light minty green colour alongside some sweet looking purple ear cups and a comfortable suspension headband that merges the aforementioned colours together.

Weighing in at only 240g, the G335 is insanely lightweight, so much so that I was initially concerned that the all plastic build was possibly a bit too fragile.

After spending various hours playing around with them however, my fears quickly dissipated as the headset is surprisingly durable given its lightweight nature, and damn comfortable as well. It does still feel cheap though, presumably forgoing a sturdier build to ensure the headset is as light as can be.

The breathable memory ear cups fit snug to the head but never feel uncomfortable due to the sizable cushions, while the suspension headband does a great job at relieving pressure at the top of the head to the point where sometimes I almost forgot I was wearing it.

The mint aesthetic is unique, but it looks pretty

The headband can be adjusted to best fit the size of your noggin and are also reversible, with a different mix of colours on either side to swap to if you want to freshen up the colour scheme ever so slightly.

Performance wise, the Logitech G335 headset performs well, with crisp clear sound coming from both the headset and its surprisingly clear microphone.

The microphone isn’t detachable as they are in the G733 lineup, but the flip-to-mute mic works well enough and never feels in the way. The headset also features a volume roller on its left ear cup allowing you to adjust volume on the fly.

Given the G335 has a 3.5mm audio jack, it serves as a simple plug and play headset that you can use on basically anything, whether it be a gaming console, a PC, or even a phone or tablet. The 1.8m cable length should also be long enough for most setups.

Throughout my time with the headset, I played Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PS5, Super Mario 3D All-Stars on Nintendo Switch, and even dabbled in some Chernobylite on PC. The headset performed admirably in all instances, providing crisp sound regardless of how loud. They also proved reliable in Chernobylite and Cold War with detecting enemy footsteps. They aren’t the greatest sounding headphones I’ve used, but they do the job well.

Logitech G335 Wired Gaming Headset Review
    An attractive trio

With an RRP of $129, the Logitech G335 headset is a bit pricey given how unabashedly simplistic it is, and there are other devices on the market around the same price that offer additional perks like a sturdier build quality, a detachable microphone and 7.1 surround sound (I’m looking at you HyperX Cloud II).

If you’re a fan of Logitech’s slew of colorful peripherals and/or just want a headset that is plug and play on basically any gaming device you own, then the Logitech G335 headset may just be worth looking into.
