SEASON 2 has officially started in NBA 2K22 and focuses on the legendary Michael Jordan and the journey he went on to become the sporting great he is today. Updates have also been added to MyCAREER, MyTEAM and The W. Also, in an NBA 2K first, 2K22’s new soundtrack format ‘First Fridays’ has debuted. It’s added tracks from Columbia Records-signed artists, including 24kGoldn, Lil Nas X and The Kid LAROI to name a few, and will continue to do so every Friday during Season 2.
Players playing MyTEAM will instantly gain a Free Agent Michael Jordan at Level 1 and a Pink Diamond Kevin Garnett at Level 40. This season also introduces Player Coach Cards, which will be rewarded in NBA 75 Domination Tiers, and new Series 1 Cards.
MyCAREER will grant new rewards, including the new Themed Mascot Outfit level 40 reward. A special Halloween event is also coming to both The Neighbourhood and The City called “The Long Night. And as the name suggests, it’ll be night time all day long from 5PM AEST on October 31 until 5PM AEST on November 1 . Players will be able to go virtual trick-or-treating, with banners, consumables, VC and more are up for grabs during the spooky event. And it’s 2XP all night long as well.
Lastly, The W Online has a plethora of rewards to grind for this season, including a Seasonal Clothing Bundle, 2K Breakthrough Gear and 4000 VC. This season also offers players two new legendary contacts. Center Rebecca Lobo and former WNBA player turned WNBA coach Teresa Weatherspoon.
