Gamescom is back for 2022 and it’s bringing some of our favourite studios with it. It will also be showcasing some exciting titles coming in the next 12 months. I am personally looking forward to Microsoft bringing Mojang Studios with an in-depth look at Minecraft Legends.
Minecraft is one of the first open world games I played; it has a special place in my heart since becoming a Minecraft Educator and every expansion has been epic.
This latest installment will have players take control of a nameless hero to unite the Overworld. I can’t wait to guide my forces in the raging war against the encroaching Nether corruption. Minecraft Legends will differ from its relatives dramatically when it comes to both gameplay and story. The games narrative is predicted as an actual legend from Minecraft‘s Overworld, which I am very excited for.
What I find most interesting about this new adventure is how Minecraft will brought into the action-strategy genre. I’m impatiently waiting to see more of this intriguing game and look forward to seeing more at Gamescom 2022 – I will definitely be among the first in line to play it as soon as I can.
Blackbird Interactive knows how to make strategy games, and Mojang Studios knows Minecraft. Between the two, I have faith that the partnership will achieve amazing results.
Minecraft Legends is slated for a release at some point in 2023, and has been confirmed for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC platforms. Minecraft Legends will also launch into Xbox and PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
