PLAYSTATION posted to Twitter today to apologise for PS5 preorder availability. The PS5 preorder launch left many gamers in the lurch after orders went unfulfilled, or orders were filled with a delivery date after Christmas. A tweet from PlayStation today gives us hope that they are working to rectify the situation. More PS5 consoles will be released for preorder over the next few days.
“Let’s be honest: PS5 preorders could have been a lot smoother. We truly apologize for that. Over the next few days, we will release more PS5 consoles for preorder – retailers will share more details. And more PS5s will be available through the end of the year.”
It’s not often that a major company will take to social media to apologise for a bumpy product release. Alanah Pearce and other gamers – 30k and counting – have supported PlayStation sharing the announcement with mostly statements of respect or relief.

Alanah Pearce @Charalanahzard:
I have absolutely never seen PlayStation make a statement like this, at all. Respect.
We will be keeping our eyes peeled for more PS5 consoles to be released for preorder in the next few days. Hopefully, those who missed out on a preorder will have the opportunity to pick up a device before Christmas.
