WITH only a few weeks to go until one of the most anticipated games in years releases, developers CD Projekt Red have released a suite of Cyberpunk 2077 videos to give everyone a little jolt of anticipation – starting with the official gameplay trailer.
Clocking in at just over five minutes, the trailer highlights just how involved the game’s world is – not to mention how detailed.
The next video also sheds a bit more light on the character of Johnny Silverhand, famously being portrayed by Keanu “You’re Breathtaking!” Reeves:
Music is an important part of the game, and the developers have also released an interesting video showing how the 90’s-inspired score and soundtrack were put together:
The developers also found an innovative solution to handle the lip-syncing and facial animations for characters across 11 different voiced languages (including English, French, and Russian ) in the form of an AI programme known as JALI – the video shares some fascinating insights into how the system works.
Rounding out the videos was the fifth (and allegedly final) installment of Night City Wire, which features some fascinating behind-the-scenes footage with Mr Reeves.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on December 10th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (and the respective next-gen consoles via backwards compatability), with upgrades to take advantage of the next-gen capabilities of the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles coming as a free upgrade “at a later date”, according to CD Projekt Red.
