There’s $20K Up For Grabs In Melbs For Fortnite Players

Yesterday, ESL and TEG Live have announced that Fortnite at the Melbourne Esports Open will this year feature an increased $20,000AUD prize pool across all open & charity tournaments, thanks in part to a contribution from Epic Games.

Fortnite fans from across Australia will have the chance to play in Margaret Court Arena over the weekend of August 31 to September 1, with the entire competition being broadcast online to millions of esports enthusiasts via twitch.tv/meo_purple.

$15,000AUD of prizes will be distributed to winners of open competitions running throughout the weekend, while a Charity Showmatch on Saturday evening will feature a $5,000AUD prize pool, with prizes being donated to the winners’ nominated charities.

I was thinking about having a go at this myself, being the oldest Fortnite player in the world, but then I remembered one crucial fact.

I’m craphouse at Fortnite. As you will see below.
