Legacy Esports take the 2020 OPL Split 2 2020 crown, earning their place at the League of Legends World Championship. In the OPL Split 2 2020 Final Legacy Esports defeated Order, 3-1.
Thousands of fans tuned in to Twitch to watch the grand final series between Legacy Esports and Order. Legacy was the favourite leading into the finals for Split 2. Legacy had secured victory in the OPL 2020 Split 1 Grand Final, and was on track to repeat that success. During the Split 2 season, Legacy and Order faced each other ten times, with eight of those matches going the way of Legacy.
The final was a best of five series, played on the 28th of August, 2020. Legacy took the first win of the final, by putting pressure on Order early – achieving quick kills in the first five minutes of the matchup. Order fought back, taking the win in the second match. Legacy secured the series with a wins in game three and game four.
Legacy athlete Isles also earned the Rookie of the Year award for the OPL 2020 seasons.

Winning the first and second split for 2020 earns Legacy a spot at the World League of Legends Championships. The Championships are scheduled for the 25th of September and Shanghai, China. With travel restrictions still in place for many regions, Riot Games have assured well being for involved with the event.
“Instead of the touring across China, all stages will be help in Shanghai. This will reduce travel over the course of the tournament, and give us the ability to more closely control the environment,” stated Nicolo Laurent (CEO of Riot Games).
