OZ Comic-Con 2021 will be returning to the east coast this year! December dates have been confirmed for Sydney and Melbourne. The Australian Esports League (partner for the event), will be bringing a gaming zone – ready for gamers to battle over the weekend at both locations.
Oz Comic-Con is booked for Sydney, December 4-5, at the Sydney Showground. The Melbourne Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre will be the hub for the Melbourne event, taking place December 11-12.
Oz Comic-Con events are always pop-culture packed with events, guests, and exhibitors. With a bustling showroom floor, and Artist Ally, Oz Comic-Con also provides a great opportunity to pick up a unique Christmas gift for someone special.
This year the Melbourne and Sydney events will featuring a new Homegrown format, highlighting the best of local gaming and geekery.
The events will also feature Oz Comic-Con mainstays including Cosplay Central, expert panels, and film and TV personalities for autograph and photo sessions. Power Ranger Dan Ewing will be at the Sydney event, along with Aussie comic book artist Nicola Scott, and writer Andrew Constant. Guest announcements are coming soon for the Melbourne convention.
At the Melbourne and Sydney Oz Comic-Con 2021 events Australian Esports League will be providing opportunities for some friendly competition against mates and other convention goers.
Aussie pop culture fans have been waiting for convention events to return, after several delays and cancelations caused by COVID-19 outbreaks and lockdowns. Event organisers Expertise Events have advised that Oz Comic-Con will be running in full compliance with current government COVID-19 requirements. Single day and weekend passes are still available via the Oz Comic-Con website.
