Riot Games today launched Riot Games Music. Riot Games Music is a new project publishing music developed in partnership with artists. Content creators can use Riot Games Music without fear of copyright strikes in streamed or produced video content. The first creator-safe album, Sessions: Vi, features 37 lo-fi style tracks.
Sessions is a collection of music developed in partnership with a number of talented musicians that anyone can use in their content without concern of copyright strikes. The first release contains 37 tracks and that’s just the beginning. Riot Games Music is committed to creating projects like Sessions into the future so stay tuned.
Sessions would not have been possible without the collaboration of the amazing musicians and artists who worked with us on this project. Thank you for creating with us.
Riot Games Sessions Website
Sessions: Vi features laid back mostly instrumental low-fi tunes, with a mix of jazz, slow-shuffle, and nature focussed themes. With track names like Growing Flowers, Breathe, Afterglow, and Feels, you can imagine exactly the vibes Riot Games Music was going for.
The music can be streamed, or downloaded for use. Here are the service and source links:

Prior to the official launch of Riot Games Music, content creator-safe playlists were available. These playlists featured in-game themes from League of Legends and Team Fight Tactics. These tracks can still be used safely, and are available via Soundcloud and Spotify. Riot Games shared that their vision is to create more projects like Sessions: VI in the future.
Riot Games Music Use Terms
All terms and conditions can be found on the League of Legends website, but here are the key points to know when using Riot Games Music in your content.
- Credit to the song, artist, and Riot Games must be included where applicable
- Creator-safe playlists can be used worry free, but all League of Legends music does not have the same guarantee
For anyone interested, Riot Games also have intellectual property guidelines that also may apply. I’m not a legal expert, so please check out the linked resources to see if they apply to your content projects. It is important to be mindful of Riots “No commercial projects (except…)” clause, which prohibits the use of their intellectual property “where you gate the content with a paywall”.
