A classic peripheral in the ROCCAT range, as well as a fan-favourite, is making a comeback some 13 years later. ROCCAT are bringing back the Kone gaming mouse, upgrading it for today’s standards while also improving on its classic ergonomic shape based on years of hand and grip research. The Kone Pro and Kone Pro Air will be available at Australian Retailers from June 4 at AUD$119.95 and AUD$189.95 respectively.
The new Kone series are said to be the lightest on the market with the Kone Pro sitting at 66g while the Kone Pro Air weighs 75g. Both feature new technical specs including ROCCAT’s Titan Optical Switch technology, Titan Wheel Pro and Owl-Eye 19K dpi optical sensor. Both will also come with AIMO RGB capabilities and can sync not only to AIMO-enabled products but also with other ROCCAT peripherals with RGB lighting.
The Kone Pro Air will be completely wireless with both Bluetooth and wireless connectivity and offers over 100 hours of playtime with a full charge. ROCCAT’s Rapid Charge technology also allows the Kone Pro Air to get 5 hours of usage per 10 minutes of charging. The Kone Pro however doesn’t offer wireless use but comes with a PhantomFlex cable for an nonrestrictive feel.
“The new Kone Pro series adds our latest groundbreaking features to this fan-favourite mouse design to deliver true competitive comfort. It is a marvel inside and out,” said René Korte, ROCCAT Founder and General Manager for PC peripherals at Turtle Beach. “ROCCAT’s origin story begins with the first Kone, so when we set out to redesign our most iconic mouse, we were excited to bring our latest advancements together in a new offering that surpasses what’s come before. This was no easy task. However, I can say with confidence that the new Kone Pro series is our best yet.”
