NEW challenges and rewards await as the next season for MyTEAM in NBA 2K21 goes live. The latest Courtside Report details all the updates made to this season, dubbed as Next Is Now, as it runs into the launch of next-gen consoles.
Season 2 features a new 3v3 single player mode called Triple Threat Challenges. Unlike regular Triple Threat, this new challenge mode restricts not only who you verse but you also must adapt to who you have on your team as per each Challenge rule. Winning all of challenges will reward players with a Diamond Rafer Alston.
MyTEAM Limited has been given some changes this season following player feedback. Lakers-inspired rings are up for grabs in this more challenging version of Unlimited held every weekend, however rings will be easier to obtain. According to the Courtside Report, it’ll only take a few wins to receive one of these Championship Rings. “Win The Weekend” will also be held at the same time and won’t be limited to…well, Limited. Completing agenda across all modes during this time will earn players more XP towards this season.
Coming back to Season 2 is an all new Signature challenge featuring Vince Carter. This season you’ll have to recreate his 2006 play against the Raptors. Gaining 42 points and dropping a few threes will reward you with 15 Tokens and a Hall of Fame slashing badge. If you don’t have Vince Carter though, don’t panic. The Courtside Report features a locker code which will unlock his card for you. This will expire though at 5pm AEST on November 28.
A plethora of other rewards are included in Season 2 including a Pink Diamond J.R. Smith for completing all of the Next Is Now collections and next-gen’s standard edition cover athlete Zion Williamson as Season 2’s Level 1 Free Agent. Be sure to check out the Courtside Report for full details.
