Bungie Tore Destiny 2’s Heart Out With Its Latest Cinematic.
Bungie revealed a heap of new gameplay information at Gamescom overnight, including new Gambit mode details – the hybrid PvP meets PvE mode – one of which was that Gambit will be free to try for all Destiny 2 players for 24 hours from 1am Monday September 2 AWST/3am Monday September 2 AEST.
The latest cinematic trailer was also revealed, and get the tissues ready because it’s everything that will destroy your soul and emotionally tie you to the Forsaken DLC. RIP Cayde-6.
The description on YouTube reads “Destiny 2: Forsaken opens with an explosive jailbreak in the Prison of Elders, as the most notorious outlaws in the system escape their confines, the only thing standing between them and our home is you and Cayde-6, the most legendary Hunter sworn to protect the City. A Vanguard doesn’t go down without a fight. Witness Cayde’s last stand.”
Forsaken lands September 4 for PC, XBox, and Playstation.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is STUNNING in 4k!
Activision spoke at Gamescom of the optimisation PC players are going to enjoy when playing Blops 4, and then simultaneously dropped an insane looking PC trailer and the mic.
BOOM!
The PC version will support uncapped framerates, 4K resolution, and ultrawide/multi-monitor setups.
Public beta of the new Blackout battle royale mode will begin on PS4 on September 10, and then on every other platform on September 14.
The second public multiplayer beta will be available first on PS4 before becoming open on everything else a few days later.
The game’s official full release is set for all platforms except Nintendo Switch on October 12.
Nvidia’s RTX is INSANE!
This week’s episode of the Game On AUS podcast features a wrap of Gamescom live from Germany where the festival is happening, with our mate Alex Walker from Kotaku. During his wrap he goes into detail about some of the insane awesomeness of Nvidia’s new RTX graphic cards.
Now for us plebs who weren’t lucky enough to be at Gamescome, we’ve been treated to a heap of videos showing the technology off!
The RTX doesn’t come cheap with Nvidia revealing the GeForce RTX 2070 will set you back $500 USD, RTX 2080 $700, and RTX 2080 Ti $1000, all of which will launch on September 20, 2018.
