So Much Super Smash News!
Considering all of the news that fell out of the latest Nintendo Direct livestream alone, we almost could’ve been forgiven for doing a top 3 that was only everything Smash Ultimate! Here’s all the new game information.
New Level Info!
Super Smash will include 103 separate stages with the following confirmed for a return:
- Pokemon Stadium
- Garden of Hope
- Brinstar Depths
- Summit
- Unova Pokemon League
- Magicant
- Gamer
- Final Destination
- Saffron City
- Kong Jungle
Each stage will be available in Omega and Battlefield forms, be open for 8-player battles, and a new stage morph option will allow you to choose two stages, one morphing into the other, over the course of the one battle.
A brand new map, a Super Mario Odyssey inspired New Donk City will be available, and it wiill feature Mayor Pauline singing that awesome tune!
Fans of the series will know also that a big draw has always been the great soundtrack featuring classic Nintendo music and remixes of old favourites, Smash Ultimate will have roughly 900 tracks, with about 800 of those drawn from the stages themselves.
New Characters!
Super Smash Ultimate will boast the biggest character roster in the series’ history, overnight we got to meet a few more joining the fight!
Castlevania characters, Simon and Richter, were revealed complete with their own trailer:
King K. Rool, Donkey Kong’s arch nemesis, was also revealed:
Dark Samus + Chrom are also joining the fight:
New Smash Ultimate Special Edition!
Though it’s yet to be announced outside of Europe, Nintendo revealed a limited edition to be released alongside the regular edition in December.
The limited edition comes in a huge box, and contains a copy of the game, a Smash Ultimate edition GameCube controller, and a GameCube controller adaptor:

Red Dead Redemption 2 New Game-play Trailer!
Rockstar announced overnight that a brand new Red Dead 2 gameplay video will be on our screens at 11pm AWST tonight/1am AEST tomorrow.
Fans can tune in on the official website, and on Rockstar’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch channel.
The past 2 months we’ve seen 3 trailers revealed, we recommend you have a quick refresh before tonight:
Red Dead 2 drops October 26.
God Of War New Game+ Release Date And Details!
Come here BOY! We’ve got some exciting news if you’re a fan of God Of War and have been looking for a reason to fire it back up BOY!
New Game+ will be available as a free patch update on August 20, but will only be accessible to players who have completed the story on any difficulty, though you don’t need to have hit 100% completion.
New Game+ can be played on any difficulty and will see you thrown back into the game with all of your progress able to be carried over – abilities, gear, and resources.
You’ll be battling higher level enemies featuring “new tricks”, there will be a new rarity level of equipment available, and a new “Skap Slag” resource to collect for further gear upgrades.
