A partnership between Hasbro and Wargaming brings your favourite Transformers to World of Warships (PC) and World of Warships: Legends (console). From September, for a limited time, Autobots Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Decepticons Megatron, and Rumble will feature in the game as commanders. Themed ship skins, containers, camouflages, flags and patches will also be available.
The teams at Hasbro and Wargaming are incredibly excited for the collaboration.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Transformers brand to life in World of Warships through this unique collaboration” stated Mark Blecher, SVP Corporate Strategy and Business Affairs at Hasbro. “Combining the might of warships and Transformers adds a whole new dimension to combat for fans of both franchises”.
Philip Molodkovets, World of Warships’ Executive Producer shared, “Our love for big, epic metal warriors is mutual! Therefore we paid special attention to bring Transformers characters to life in details and true scale, side by side with legendary warships.” Philip continued, “Having the chance to feature them in World of Warships was a dream come true for many of us”.
Fans of the Transformers will also have themed dedicated in-game Tasks and Directives to complete for the event.
This timing is perfect for Transformers fans. The War for Cybertron (Rooster Teeth Studios) mini-series recently released on Netflix should keep them entertained until the World of Warships Transformers event in September.
Unfortunately no news on Titanicus, Depth Charge (the BW or ROTF version), or High Tide joining the battle in World of Warships – but maybe ideas for a future crossover?
